Rachel's Loving Lil Hedgies Policies

Thank you for continued interest in adopting from Rachel's Loving Lil Hedgies! We wanted to inform you of some important updates to our policies to ensure a smooth and fair adoption process for all involved.

1. 6-Month Minimum Commitment:

To ensure the best experience for both the animal and the adopter, we require that all adopted hedgehogs remain in your care for at least 6 months before any returns or replacements are considered due to temperament issues.

2. $50 Nonrefundable Waitlist Deposit:

A $50 nonrefundable deposit will now be required to secure a spot on the waitlist for future hedgehogs. This deposit helps us ensure that only serious adopters are added to the list.

3. Waitlist Process:

When hoglets reach 2-3 weeks of age, waitlist members will be contacted with pictures. Once you have been contacted, you will have 8 hours to respond. If no response is received within that time, we will move on to the next person in line.

4. Deposit Transfers:

Waitlist members are welcome to pass on currently available hedgehogs and have their deposits transferred to future litters. However, please note that deposits are nonrefundable and cannot be returned.

5. Rehoming Policy:

Rehoming any hedgehog adopted from us to another person is strictly prohibited. All animals must be returned to us if you are no longer able to care for them.
